Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve at my parents house. After church we headed back there for dinner, presents, and a marshmallow fight..more details on that later. The kids were so excited! Here they are all dressed up in front of my parents Christmas tree. I have no idea what Marissa is doing, but she's certainly excited about something!!

Everyone had a good time opening presents. Here we are with some of our favorites....

Yia Yia models her new pink nightgown. :)

Tommy enjoys a holiday drink. He's looking forward to spending his Lombard Hobby gift card.

A bobber cooler for Rick...he's all set for his next fishing trip!

If you don't have this cookbook you need to go buy it.

Me and my sis.

Aunty Melissa and Uncle Rick gave Nicholas a truck which plays "You Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer. No off button, no volume control. Thanks Lis.

My brother, Michael, loves Jelly Bellys.

My parents won this truck on Ebay for Jacob. It's a logging truck that he's had his eye on...he was thrilled and very surprised!

Jenna with her new viewfinder! Who knew that they make so many different ones...she loves the dinosaur and baby animal discs.

Marissa got a new Dora the Explorer pillow handmade by Grandma Pagonis.

My mom outdid herself again making not ONE but TWO quilts in time for Christmas this year! The first is a dinosaur quilt for Jenna!! I was SO surprised as I had no idea this one was in the works. Words cannot tell you how much Jenna loves this quilt. It came along with us on our trip to Michigan and she sleeps with it every night. As a matter of fact, she insists that we make her bed with it every morning covering up her old flower bedding. She just loves it!

The other quilt my mom made is a very special one for my dad. It's an army quilt with actual photos of his service days. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy I was there to see her give it to him. What a treasure....

While my dad absolutely loved his precious quilt, he did get a fun toy this Christmas....

....yes, it's a marshmallow launcher given to him by his new son-in-law, Rick. For those of you who know my father, I don't have to explain how happy he was to receive this new toy. Thanks to Grandma Fran, who lovingly gave each of my children their own marshmallow shooter at Thanksgiving, they showed up ready to have a marshmallow war with Grandpa. My parents living room became the "battleground" and I think each and every one of us were ambushed at some point in the evening. My mom told me that when she took down the Christmas tree today she found about a dozen marshmallows stuck in the branches! What a mess...there were marshmallows everywhere...but it was fun.

Dinner time...we had a great meal together.

Back at home that night Tommy read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids. They put out cookies and milk for Santa and then off to bed!!
