The Tooth Fairy is Coming!

Jenna lost her very first tooth today! She had a playdate with her friend, Abby, and when I picked her up she greeted me with her tooth in a plastic baggie and a hole in her smile!

She was a little hesitant about the Tooth Fairy visiting tonight, but we assured her that everything would be fine and that she'd be very happy in the morning. I gave her the same tooth holder that I used as a child. It was given to me by Mom and has a little note that goes with it.

Tooth Fairy, Tooth Fairy
While I close my eyes.
Look under my pillow.
I've left a surprise.

Farmer Nicholas

Last Thursday, we were invited into Nicholas' Turtle Class for a "Farm Party & Barn Dance". I had strep throat so I couldn't go, but Tom was there to celebrate the conclusion of the "farm" unit of study with Nicholas and all his Turtle friends. Nicholas thoroughly enjoyed all the fun activities they did while learning all about farms. They got to visit a petting farm, see a REAL John Deere tractor, build and stuff a scarecrow with hay, and make butter from scratch. They even turned the pretend center into a barn and silo! All fun stuff...Miss Hollenbeck and the Turtle team did a great job.

But I think my personal favorite was the 3-D farm animal project! Each child had to vote for their favorite farm animal and then they made one. Nicholas chose a horse and he named her "Ashley" (which he pronounces as "Ash-wee"). How cute is this craft!?! :)
